Peres Projects gallery director Sarah Walzer was born and bred in Los Angeles and studied studio art at UCLA. Getting in at the ground level as an intern when the Chinatown gallery was in its flagship phase, she rose through the ranks, and Peres Projects took off alongside her. During the past four years, PP, known for its lax, even indulgent “servant-master” relationships with its artists, has cultivated a thriving branch in art mecca Berlin and provides support to New York’s Asia Song Society, with gallery artist Terence Koh. Walzer is currently working on a curated lecture series in L.A. called “Show and Tell.”
