Adam Werbach

Adam Werbach is famous for a lot: He was the youngest and first Jewish president ever elected to the Sierra Club (he was 23), in 2004 he wrote a speech about the death of environmentalism that people still argue about, and he became the pariah of the ecomovement when his consulting company, Act Now, signed on to “green” Wal-Mart. Now his team is part of Saatchi & Saatchi, operating under the name Saatchi & Saatchi S, a move that has earned Werbach further criticism. But Werbach continues to stand his ground. He wants to change the world, and sometimes that requires wearing a suit and meeting with Wal-Mart.
