Thanks to Melanie Notkin, women can have it all: the joy of children without the excruciating pain of childbirth. Notkin—an online guru who cut her teeth as a beauty editor and executive for Fortune 500 companies—is the brains behind SavvyAuntie.com, a site for “Aunties by Relation, Aunties by Choice, Mommy Aunties, Great Aunts, Godmothers, and all women who love kids.” After becoming an aunt in 2001, Notkin bemoaned the fact that there were no online resources for aunts. She launched SavvyAuntie in July 2008, and commenced doling out sage advice.
