Molly Crabapple’s award-winning illustrations capture both burlesque and Victorian influences. In 2005, she channeled her passion into an artists’ club, Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School. The school is a both a burlesque café and a life-drawing class. Dr. Sketchy’s soon caught on and now there are more than 50 branches around the globe. Her Dr. Sketchy’s Official Rainy Day Colouring Book was released in 2006 and Dr. Sketchy’s 2008 Pin-Up Calendar in 2008. She currently draws a webcomic called “Backstage” at Act-i-vate.com.
