After spending his days reading “terrible” comedy scripts, producer Mason Novick was thrilled to discover the reliably funny blog of Diablo Cody. Novick called Cody and convinced her to try her hand at screenwriting. The result was Juno. Now with an Oscar nomination for his troubles, Novick has numerous projects in development, including Jennifer’s Body, Cody’s sophomore effort, which tells the story of a possessed homicidal cheerleader.
