While working as a clerk in the advising office at the University of Louisville in 2005, Aaron Rosenblum distracted himself from any suicidal tendencies by writing features for the southern hipster mag Bejeezus. That was back when it was just a saddle-stitched zine—when the Kentucky based rag became a legit quarterly last year, “Chosenblum” was brought on as associate editor, splitting editorial responsibilities with founder Hillary Harrison. “I am probably perceived as the bad cop to Hillary’s good cop, though this may just be a smokescreen,” he said. “I just hope that I will be remembered for providing a bullshit-free voice of reason in the wilderness.”
