Not Your Bubbe’s Assasination Plot
How’s this for a Fall fashion trend? It appears that the American public—regardless of background— is having a go at fantasies of presidential assasination plots. Besides the case of the neo-Nazi plan in which the two skinheads were foiled before going on a killing spree, which would culminate with the exectution of Obama, there is the hip-hop song "Gonna Be Aight" by Azizi.
Nowhere near high art, the music video shows a black president ultimately taking the bullet as the chorus repeats "everything’s gonna be aight" over and over and over again. Having that chorus in your head all day is soooo not aight. Somebody shoot Azizi’s beatmaker, please.
