With the recent resurgence of African music in the U.S., it was a sure bet that sooner or later a few artists from the continent would break through. I wouldn’t be surprised if this blind duo from Mali gets noticed by such bands as Vampire Weekend and Grizzly Bear.
This group of Pacific Northwesters play the freshest sounding country-psych stuff I have heard in years. They are the new sound of Seattle.
