See James Write

James Franco has scored himself a book deal with Simon & Schuster! Hurrah!

I mean, it’s only natural that the world would want to read Franco’s fiction. Not only does he study stream of consciousness diary writing—I mean, creative writing—at Columbia, it turns out that his mother, Betsy Franco, is a bestselling children’s book author. Take a look at one of her poems, selected from her epic masterwork,  My Very Own Poetry Collection First Grade: 101 Poems for First Graders

I Have Lots of Hats

For rain,

For sun.

For dress,

For fun.

Big, small,

Short, tall.

Red, blue,

Yellow, green.

For days at the beach,

For Halloween!

With literary genius like this running through your blood, I expect great things from you, Mr. Franco. Great things.
