Courtney Love can’t get a break. While movers were packing her rented Malibu pad, they mistook a $12,000 sculpture of a taxidermy bird by British artist Polly Morgan as trash. The piece had been specially commissioned by Love after much discussion with the artist and was one her prized possessions. The movers, finding it sitting on a sideboard, thought it was garbage and thew it away.

Polly Morgan, a trained taxidermist, sells work for upwards of $75,000 to collectors like Kate Moss and Damien Hirst. "What is great about Polly’s stuff is that people either love it or hate it. I relate to that," the singer had previously said of her artwork.

"Courtney is beside herself. She had entrusted her personal assistant to supervise her move." a source told the Daily Mail. Love was so angry at the loss that she immediately fired her assistant. I can imagine it’s a little bit like how I felt when my mom threw away my dead bug collection when I was 7.
