If you’ve been on the subway lately, you’ve probably noticed that new Halls ad campaign. With their enlarged schnozzes, these cold-suffering models look like they’ve been Photoshopped into the Semitic gene pool. I do give them credit, though. I never look that stoic in the sniffly throes of the flu.
Then again, my nose also doesn’t magically grow two sizes. Perhaps the advertisers are trying to associate surviving a cold and surviving thousands of years of persecution and pogroms? If so, thanks, Halls. We’ll get through the season together!
