Running of the Brides

Hundreds of women on the brink of marriage busted through the doors of Filene’s Basement in New York City this morning, all hoping to find that perfect wedding dress at the annual bridal blow-out sale. With dresses that cost up to $9,000 at bridal salons going for as low as $250, today’s event was the brides-to-be’s Super Bowl. They zigged, zagged and elbowed their way to discounted taffeta and tulle. The road to the checkout line was rough, but with hard work, mental stamina and a little blush, these ladies snatched victory. Now all that’s left is to head down the aisle and slip on those championship rings.
