Super-Shui Me
First the "green" BP gas station, complete with bamboo counters, organic cotton uniforms, and, oh yeah, gas. Now, the feng-shui’d McDonald’s. WTF L.A.? Why do you always have to live up to your stereotype and then some? According to McDonald’s owner Mark Brownstein, who owns 23 of the franchises in SoCal, taking a Feng Shui approach to his suburban L.A. location was all about boosting business. The publicity alone has probably done more than the unaligned doors, which Brownstein’s Feng Shui consultants told him would keep good spirits in and bad spirits out.

The Skeptics Guide to the Universe recently contacted McDonalds corporate headquarters to ask if this was an official endorsement of Chinese mysticism. The person on the other side of the phone put down the McNugget long enough to say, “Feng what”?
