Heeb Storytelling: The Easter Edition

If you’re the type of person who typically celebrates Easter by biting the heads off of marshmallow bunnies, then you won’t want to miss the next installment of the world’s most infamous traveling Jewish road show, Heeb Storytelling, on March 23 at 7 p.m. at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan. The event will feature 7-minute Jewish stories by journalist Martha Frankel (Hats & Eyeglasses); filmmaker Noah Harlan (co-author of Mind Your Manners, Dick & Jane); comedian Seth Herzog (“Sweet”); writer Adam Mansbach (The End of the Jews); author David Silverman (Typo: The Last American Typesetter or How I Made and Lost $4 Million); novelist Anya Ulinich (Petropolis); and Hasidic hip-hop artist Y-Love (pictured above).

Don’t marshamallows have gelatin in them?
Frighteningly unkosher…and gross, I don’t wanna scoff down Seabiscuit :S
Unless it’s synthetic gelatin in which case…hand over the bunny!

Kristen Schaal who hosted Heeb Storytelling a few months ago, has just become a regular on The Daily Show.

iconic,

You would appear to be suggesting that Heeb is as useful to non-Jews in furthering their career as it is has been to select Jews who have enjoyed a spike in their career after Heeb promotion. First of all, this is a correlation, we don’t know for sure it is causative, though I do allow for that possibility, and personally suspect it is,. However, I would caution that Ms. Schaal is culturally about as Jewish as possible for a gentile to be. Even her last name seems to suggest paternal Jewish descent. If this is the case, and quite frankly, even if not, this only suggests limited benefit to those immediately outside the tribe, not the general population.

Kristen Schaal rocked the house, and gained many new fans, at Heeb Storytelling. Many of those fans read here. What I was suggesting was merely that they might want to check out Kristen in her new gig on The Daily Show.
I agree with you and have heard from others, mrnhgts, that “Heeb promotion” may result in career “spike.”
