Jewdar’s incredible devotion to the faith of our fathers prohibits us from viewing such things as burlesque (on the other hand, we do get to have concubines and smite Amalekites, so we still come out ahead in our book). If we understand it correctly, it’s like stripping, but the girls have bigger asses, which gives them low self-esteem, but then they do burlesque, which gives them high self-esteem, soooo…basically, it’s like stripping but the girls have bigger asses, so what’s not to like?

While we can’t see it ourself, we’ll put the word out that burlesque troupe Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad has a show going on at the Zipper Factory in Manhattan, through April 26. It’s also worthy to mention that NJGGB have a video to promote their show called "The Hamantaschen Song," which they bill as "the filthiest and most adorable song ever written about hamantaschen." Jewdar will take their word for it, but it does leave us wondering if there’s a whole genre of smutty kosher pastry songs that has completely eluded us.
