Double Feature

Heeb’s Hasidic zombie short, Night of the Living Jews will be appearing in two film festivals this Spring:

First, NOLJ screens on April 3, the opening night of the A Night of Horror Film Festival in Australia. If you make it out that night, you’ll also get to see Flick (UK / 2007 / 96 min / dir. David Howard), the story of a flick-knife wielding rockabilly teenager who returns from the dead to wreak revenge on his tormenters. This retro zombie flick stars Faye Dunaway, Hugh O’Conor and Michelle Ryan, none of whom to the best of our knowledge, appear in peyis.

And if you needed an excuse to get that liver transplant you can’t afford here in the U.S., NOLJ screens at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival in early May. With a an audience of over 35,000, Toronto is the largest of over 100 Jewish film festivals worldwide—that is, if you don’t count Sundance, Tribeca and CineVegas as Jewish.
