The last we checked on Tom Cruise and his Nazi biopic Valkyrie, the real-life son of the film’s main character Claus Von Stauffenberg was telling the crazed actor to "go climb a mountain."
Since then, the film has endured two postponed openings for reasons not fully disclosed. Now supposedly hitting theaters in February 2009, the schedule-shifting is a definite bummer for Cruise’s United Artists, whose execs are fending off the press’ queries about the studio going bust.
Meanwhile, Cruise doesn’t seem too concerned about cash coming in. He spent $100,000 on his daughter’s birthday last weekend.
