Handsome Jew-hater Mel Gibson has always had a good eye for picking sidekicks. First there was the Feral Kid. Then there was Danny Glover. And over course, there was his main man, JC. Now it looks like Mad Mel has set his sights on another wild child, troubled songstress Britney Spears.

Britney is currently staying with Mel (and his wife, and her father) at his Costa Rican estate. Mel apparently began reaching out to the melted popsicle a few months back, though it is unclear at this point if his ministering includes religious outreach. Personally, Jewdar takes no pleasure in Britney’s travails and hopes she gets her act together, and if Mel can help, more power to him. On the other hand, we also know that Britney doesn’t have a great record when it comes to men. We would remind her that while Kabbalah may not have been all that she may have hoped, at least as long as she hopes to work in entertainment (not to mention live in Malibu), she might find it more useful to stay on the side of pseudo-Jewish sects rather than pseudo-Catholic (and really antisemitic) ones.
