Heeb Magazine recently labeled us “idiots” for taking out the “Israel is not a country” facebook group…... – yet here you are—-bringing self-hating, low quality, unfunny, Jewish “humor”/shund onto the blogosphere and youtube.
It’s disgusting when Jews buy into antisemitic stereotypes like this and help propagate them.
On top of all that, we’ve seen better videos made by junior high A/V clubs.

I really don’t think that anti-semitic stereotypes are being generated by Jews…lighten up :P

I disagree Jewish people are very responsible for protecting their own image. There is a self referential cyclical effect at large here… that said we also need ways to express our dissatisfaction with stereotypes through humor. There comes a time when a stereotypes becomes so prevalent that the only way to fight it is by recognizing it. The very name of your magazine looks face on to the hypocrisy it is facing.
That said when the rap community started using the N-Word it was for the most part out of popular lexicon… by using it, it has come back into our vocabulary with very powerful changes in it’s use. As a Jew hearing my angry “Greek” boss at my former job call me the same thing had a quite shocking effect to my ears. It is a delicate line to cross and the context is everything. Heeb Magazine I hope realizes what the context of the olympics and it’s attempt to find fascist regimes as hosts means to Jewish people at the Olympics at Munich and other places. The mere fact that there is a comment section allows an open forum and I happy of that… however it does put an awful lot of responsibility and confidence in your audience.

I was just getting ready to email this to a few friends, then I saw TheJIDF’s comment, Googled “JIDF”, and will now definitely email this to many more friends because that comment is just as hilarious as the video. People who don’t know how to laugh at themselves should be gassed.

I love Ma’oz Tzur as much as any boychik, but given its use in the Maccabiah, wouldn’t Hine Bo be more appropriate? Plus, Handel’s long dead, so the music is public domain.
BTW, handmade bagels? Nice touch!
