All the Rage
Maybe its the price of food or gas or just an extension of the competetive "Olympic spirit," but anger management seems to be posing a larger and larger problem for Americans these days. Here are the headlines to prove it:
The big news in anger managment (or the lack thereof) has been the Greyhound bus rage incident, wherein a young man was beheaded aboard a Greyhound bus, causing Greyhound to put a premature and ironic end to its advertising campaign with the slogan "There’s a reason you’ve never heard of bus rage."
Last week we heard from the New York Times about a new phenomenon of bike rage. Keying cars, kicking off mirrors and running down pedestriasn—all standard practice.
And most recently a combination of stress and the workout-spawned testosterone has led to a number of episodes of gym rage, causing fitness centers to develop codes of "sweatiquette" to avoid potentially violent confrontations.
Ah, let’s not forget gefilte rage.
