Have you ever encountered a public drunk, brown bag in hand, and wondered “What is that dude thinking?!” Turns out, there’s quite a bit on the mind of the wandering boozer, and it isn’t all threatening; let comedy-rap group, The Delusions, tell you about it, through song, with “Drunk in Public”. You’ll find them on a park bench, up a tree, and on the pavement, all in the middle of the damn day. They pop champagne, deflect the cops, and get married.
Drake aside, Jewish rap is an unfortunately under-appreciated sub-genre, but The Delusions have definitely arrived, at a place where humor meets sincerity, and skill meets buffoonery. Indie-rap still has new places to go.
